Last week, savvy deal-hunters on HotUKDeals spotted a jaw-dropping price on Mannol 5W-30 Energy engine oil: 5 litres for just £9.30 working out at just £1.86 per litre, including VAT and shipping.

The suspiciously low price, begs the question: how can Mannol afford to produce, package, and ship this oil so cheaply? Simple: they can’t—or, more likely, won’t reveal what’s really behind it.

It’s time for consumers to ask: could this “bargain” be funding something darker? With suspicions of money laundering and links to Russian oil—possibly fueling the ongoing war—this ultra-cheap product may come at a steep moral cost, hiding far more than just a discount.
