Is Russia Sneaking Through the Back Door?

Earlier this year, the U.S. imposed sanctions on a UAE shipping company for breaching the Russian oil price cap, which involved 18-19 ships transporting crude oil of Russian origin.

This development strengthens the fact that the UAE and Russia have a close relationship and that the UAE is facilitating the shipment of Russian oil, a practice that might be contributing to Mannol’s ability to offer products at such low prices.

Given the surge in oil imports from the UAE to the UK and the UAE’s evident non-compliance with existing sanctions, is it wrong to presume that this is, in fact, Russian Oil?
